We isolated the root cause of weeks of corrupted data in an enterprise monitoring deployment ourselves — the vendor's official update didn't fix it, so we found and permanently resolved a 32-bit counter overflow in PostgreSQL.
HOW AN UPDATE CAN SILENTLY LEAVE YOU WITHOUT SSL
A platform update reset the web server configuration and silently reverted a valid SSL certificate back to an old, expired one. Finding and fixing the container-level config took minutes — before the customer even noticed.
